I am looking to sell a bike, but this rule makes perfect sense and should help quite a bit in terms of who bothers to become a part of the community.

On a sidenote, I have simply reached my breaking point in using ebay, hence being directed here from an old Velo News forumite. This looks like a cool forum. Glad to be here.

can someone enable this? or do you have to , from the moment of this new code implementation, meet the X posts over Y days?

I figured out a work around ----- start a new post with just a title. Post it. Then go to your post and "edit" it, then you can add content. Worked for me.

I am in the same boat and still cannot post to classifieds. Over 14 days on the forum and have posted almost 30 times as I actually do like the forum. I used to be on BT a lot but this is my go to place now.

Question on posting pics.

I use tinypic's url in the ST basic text editor and that works....

but then sometimes, a day or so later, the link breaks and so now some of the images won't display....

But, once a post is posted, I'm unable to go into the basic editor. My only option is to delete the post and recreate it from scratch.

Posting videos is an entirely separate issue. I can do it, but the only way I can consistently do it is to make the post on my phone, otherwise the results are inconsistent.

I thought you use to have a locked thread with these instructions; maybe (re) adding fail-proof instructions for embedding pics and videos in posts could help us.

i didn't know people used tinypics anymore. we did have that thread, but the "advanced editor" sort of mooted it. any reason you use tinypics? is it because you don't have any other capacity to build a filesize down to a manageable weight?
