Gravel Bike Porn

I am hoping conditions hold so I can defile it at VOMAR on sunday.

I had an OPEN U.P. previously but there is something reassuring about riding a metal framed bike when things get rowdy (which they tend to)…

Frame just came in today… I am planning on building a S-Works Crux
SRAM Force 1X with 52 tooth Chainring… 42 for gravel rides.
10-42 casette
Reynolds ATR Wheels
The rest… I have no clue.

Indy Fab Deluxe…26" hardtail MTB turned 650b roadster. Currently set up with fenders and dyno hub lighting, this bike has become my go-to winter bike. So many nice 26" frames floating around out there…just wish there were more options for rigid forks in 450-ish A-C length.

Moots Baxter…post Land Run.

Already posted this in ‘Show us your ride’ - but can’t resist sharing again. Canyon Grail.

Nice bike! I just received my Grail as well.

What are you doing looking at my Litespeed Gravel when you have that Baxter in the garage.

That’s a sweet looking rig!

Haha, thanks man. Lots of great bikes on this thread. Always interested to see others’ setups, yours included. I’ll say half the fun of going to Land Run was walking around the day prior just looking at what everyone brought!

Nice! This looks really slick with the green and the 1x.

This update to my Exploro is an N-1 experiment. Changed the tires, handlebar, position, and upgraded to the ASX double group.

Going to see how this does pulling double duty for roubaix style road races and gravel races. May part with my roadbike that sees very little use these days.

They do 1x now?

depending on model… yes

Nice ride! Reminds me of my road frame

What handlebars are those? They look like Cervelo, but not sure

They are the Cervelo AB-04 bars. I have them on another bike and love them.

that’s a quiver killer

that’s a quiver killer

I tried that with a Parlee XD… didn’t quite work so it’s going full gravel and I’m bought another road bike.

what made it deficient on the road?

I’m looking for a budget 650B wheelset for my Open UP. I currently ride a 700 wheelset that is Hed belgium plus rims with DT Swiss 350 center lock hubs.

Opinions on the Hunt, Mason X Hunt 650 Adventure sport disc wheelset? I am thinking I would put something like the gravel king SK in either 43 or 48mm.

I have also looked at the Easton EA70 AX disc wheelset. They are a little heavier than the Hunt wheels but also wider. The price is a bit higher for the Eastons but they are still only around $500.

Appreciate the input.

I have sram rails and Stan’s ZTR flows. Both are great rugged wheel sets with wide internal width and can be had for a deal new or on eBay. I bought all my 650b wheelsets used since their value has cratered post boost spacing.

My new Crux on its maiden voyage this morning!

what made it deficient on the road?

el dropo … .

it has some weight and tire compromises for offload that just fry me with the fast guys. Another pure (aero) road bike was always in the plan anyways to be honest.
