As far as racing goes, SoCalTricurious, my theme this year is "sleep in my own bed racing." No reason to travel & sleep in hotels. San Diego has lots of race options, right?
I'm planning to do the San Diego tri series that includes the Spring Sprint, Chula Vista Half & Mission Bay Sprint.
Also, I see the Campy GranFondo 105 on April 7, but that's the Saturday b/4 spring break. My hubby & kids might insist on a trip or something fun for everyone.
I have access to a condo at Big Bear, so the Big Bear triathlon fits my theme. Is that a good race?
I'd like to do an interesting marathon near me, too, perhaps.
Any thoughts on these races? I prioritize safety, an organized event, & non-glam. I don't necessarily need hoopla.
