I believe the real reason we are getting disc brakes on bikes is because bike aero development is getting to the point of marginal gains so small there has to be a different focus. Better brakes is the new aero. This is no different then Zipp focusing on stability with the 454 and soon to be 858 NSWs.
I know it's hard for some of you to accept that we have hit "peak aero" but you will be ok.
