Well, unless I was misdiagnosed (MRI confirmed the tear) then it is clearly possible for a meniscus to heal or at least get back all mobility without any pain. Additionally, the link someone posted mentions that a small meniscus tear "might" not heal itself and could require surgery. This implies that a meniscus tear CAN heal itself. Maybe it's less likely, but from my experience and the info in the link I'm thinking it's possible a meniscus can heal itself.

Granted, the doctor did tell me it probably wouldn't heal on it's own and I haven't confirmed that it healed. Just no more pain.
