x2 on Jaws. Jaws is absolutely unbelievable. Incredibly well written, great characters, solid acting, and just the most amzing tension throughout the film.....oh, and awesome music score.

To back up what you said about the way movies were made, my absolute favorite scene is when the guy gets pulled off the dock. The dock is floating away as being pulled by the shark with accompanying music. The dock slows down, slowly turns as the violins start to make squealing noises, and then it picks up speed moving toward the fisherman. Right at that moment the piano gets extra intense.

What makes it amazing is that you never actually see the shark in that scene, but you are pulling your feet up off the floor and yelling at that man to swim. Aghhhh....I get goose bumps just thinking about it!

I thought the first Godfather was better.

This list almost represents a completely different genre of movie. It's like comparing Jazz to Rock music.

Here is another "Jazzy" movie, The Last Metro, great story and acting. But than again I had a little crash on catherine deneuve at the time..
