Someone has to recognize it,
On a total whim we took a road trip yesterday just to check this place out. Had a ton of fun!

That's what I'm thinking, too, after seeing the VW badge.

It was! we went there on a whim. It was a 6 hour drive and we had a ton of fun. Theyre very open to the public and nothing was really off limits. Only a couple of items werent for sale.

Great pictures, must have been a great visit. Did you get to meet any of them? The show portrays the shop as being run by just the 3 of them, wondering if they have added staff to keep up with increased sales due to the shows popularity.

No they werent there unfortunately. There were 2 other girls worki.g the counter. other than that it was exactly as it looks on the show. The joe namath football game from the last show was for sale. I came really close to buying an okd eddy mercx bike they had but it wasnt my size.

So how big is the shop?
And how overpriced are the items. Seems like with the show they'd be charging a premium for stuff sonce people would want to say they bought it from them.

the shop is fairly small actually. there is the main room that im standing in above and the smaller office right next to it. i would guesstemate the entire space is about 500-700 sq ft. also none of the prices seemed unreasonalble to me at all. as i mentioned i nearly walked out of there with a eddy merckx complete bike. it needed work and they were asking $200.00 for it. had i restored it i easily could have flipped it for double that.
also near the front door which leads into the office they sell tshirts for about $20.
with the exception of their upstairs office and the janitors closet the place was completely open. nothing had a sign on it that saying not to touch it, everything either had a handwritten price tag or NFS. seeing the nuckleheads and von dutch bike up close was really cool.

Wow, that's what I was thinking but I didn't remember the ceiling being so tall from the show. That's pretty cool.
They did a show about 4 blocks from where I work. It was about a guy in one of the industrial buildings that had a huge collection of antique tools and then a bunch of other stuff. IIRC the tools weren't for sale but all the other stuff was.
I was actually watching it and when I saw the buildings facade I said "Hey wait a minute I know where that's at!"

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
