Hill Poll: Majority Believes Obama Changed America for the Worst Quote | Reply

Somebody questioned my source one day and claimed the Hill was the pinnacle of must read Washington Insider News. Well I don't remember who, but I'm sure he/she is seeing this. This poll says 1 in 5 democrats feel thsi way. Man, no republicans fessed up to Bush's failures until it was the end. Does this mean it is the end?

My take away is that 4 out of 5 Dems are in denial.

A lot of democrats are mad because Obama has compromised way to much with obstructionist republicans and has generally not been liberal enough.

Define a lot? I don't think it is a majority or even significant minority, but it could perhaps account for a large portion of that 1 out of 5. I know radicals who have socialist beliefs, like my father, think that. But he clearly isn't the norm. Even by liberal democrat standards.

My take away is that Democrats are less delusional than Republicans.

So you honestly think a bunch of liberals who think he has not made enough change would poll that he has changed the country for the the worst?

rofl

More likely there are 20% of conservative democrates who can't stand what he has done.

First, I am DEFINITELY not an Obama fan.

That said, consider the alternative. Don't you think the same would have been said about McCain?
My point is not that we are living in "tough times."

My point is that all of our choices/leaders are terrible.

They don't lead: they cater to the stupidity and irresponsibility of the voters.

But only 1 in 5.

If McCain had one he would be getting a lot of grief to, especially from yours truly. I have always said the winner of the 2008 election would have likely been a one termer. Obama is clearly in over his head, the book title "The Amateur" was dead on. McCain would have been like you said a great panderer to interest with little insight outside of war which he supports a little too enthusiastically for my tast. McCain showed what a POS he is just this last weekend. It seems like there isn't a single conflict he doesn't think we should be involved in. His comments have become almost commical if they weren't shared by so many. But I definitely don't think McCain would have been as bad as Obama or even Bush. Maybe the third worst president in recent history.

Carter #1
Bush2 #2
McCain #3

Instead we got

Obama #1
Carter #2
Bush2 #3

You had it right the first time. I might be a liberal communist Obama ballwasher, but I can still have a sense of humor.

Oh, and I can even say nice things about GWB even though I think almost all of his decisions as president were incorrect. No matter his faults, I think he is completely free of racism and sexism. His appointments and hirings appear to completely bear this out. And even as he was making bad decisions I think he was trying to do the right thing.

Now you have to find something nice to say about Obama. :)

Well, you may be biased by saying McCain would have been better . . . and some Dem/Lib might say otherwise.

But can we all agree that neither of them is good enough?

This irresponsible overspending has got to stop; if not now, when?

Two years ago with less than one month in the season left 1 in 5 Lakers fans became Mav fans. Last year those same fans became Heat fans with one month to go. Moral of this story: some people are going to jump ship simply because they don't want to be with the loser. They just pray they pick right. Even if they don't, there is always time to revert back and hardly anyone will notice.

But Obama was touted as and campaigned as the man who would bring us all together. I gave him the chance to make tha happen. But instead, he has deepend and widend the dis-unity, and on purpose I would add. For this he gets the Worst title.

This pisses me off more than anything. I always saw Barry as just another full of shit pol that I disagree with almost across the board. Too many saw him as someone special (is it the black thing?). He isn't special. Never was. Too many smart people got suckered and it was way too easy. Frightening.

Glad you see the light now but sorry, brother, too late.

Oh no. I saw the same empty suit as you. But after the election I gave him the benefit of my doubts to see if he could become something. But then he immediately took the backseat to Nancy Pelosi who was driving the left wing agenda.

I'll admit I wasn't happy when he won. But I was glad to see that we progressed and elected a black man. I also wanted him to succeed for a multitude of reasons. One we were in a hole so any failure would dig that hole deeper and maybe beyond the point where we could climb out. Two, if he failed, there wouldn't likely be another black elected for another couple generations.

I never thought this country was incapable of electing a black guy (or womens).

If Obama was white Hillary would be president. I don't see what happened as progress. Quite the opposite.

And for this, Mitt is The Solution?!?

I only see Romney adding/compounding 2 problems for every 1 he corrects.

Explain.

“The instinct to survive is human nature itself, and every aspect of our personalities derives from it. Anything that conflicts with the survival instinct acts sooner or later to eliminate the individual and thereby fails to show up in future generations.

47% out of 73% of republicans will 100% of the time think Obama is doing a bad job, even if 85% of the time he is doing a great job. This only goes to proves that 62% of the population that answers these polls, are idiots.

You and Mopdahl should up the stakes. The loser has to come on the forum every day for a month and apologize for being so shit-all stupid for the previous 9 - 12 months before they are allowed to ungracefully exit forever.
