Bike rental in Catania sicily? Pls help Quote | Reply

I have an unexpected free day in Catania Sicily tomorrow. I have my shoes and pedals with me and would love to rent a serviceable road bike to head up etna. Very long shot I know but if anyone knows of a rental outfit in town pls let me know.

Are you military? If so, MWR at NAS Sig has plenty of Pinarellos for rent. If not, you can rent through Master Sport in Scordia, about 20 minutes south of Catania.

Can't help you out, and don't know who long you want to ride for... but if you can head north to Taormina you will be in for a treat (around 60k north of Catania). The climb into the town would be pretty difficult though (steep hill, endless switch backs). Definitely worth spending some time in that town though, if you're in the area.

Big thank you to everyone who replied here and especially to you scott - the st brain trust does it again!

I'm not military but master sport now have a store right in Catania. This being Italy it's taken e a week to arrange a one day hire but I just walked out with an immaculate pinarello with chorus 11 speed that fits me like a glove for E25! At least that's what I promised to pay - they haven't even swiped my card yet!

Hope this is of use to someone searching in the future - tomorrow's going to be fun!
