White or Black helmet? Quote | Reply
Both are somewhat neutral colors and tend to go along with anything. Trying to decide between the two, I'm thinking black, however wondering if it will heat up and show blemishes easier.

Thoughts?

Will be a Giro Prolight.

Wow, it is a small world after all. I just ordered the same helmet this week! What I was torn between was sizing - large or medium.

I almost went with the black/red/white one, but, it had too much black for my taste. I want to stick out in traffic as much as possible, so, I went with the white/silver one. Though, the b/r/w one has red on the back of the helmet that mimics a reflector.

You're right about both colors go with everything. If the two were my only options, I would go with white because I want to be seen on the roads, especially at night. The more bright colors I can have on me and the bike, the better.

Thanks for the input. I'm now thinking about going white. Was wishing they had the blue/black/white in a medium still, but no one has it available.

You're welcome! I was about to say check Performance (they're on sale for 119), but they currently have just the small in the blue/black/white.

I've never really experienced any "helmet heating" with any colors so I'd say go for aesthetics. Just to throw this out there, my TT helmet is a pink wingspan. HUGE hit with the ladies ;)
