Is Bakker a Bavarian name? If so, we already have a Bavarian cream puff.

I make a motion that this be this year's t-shirt quote. Seconds?

I like it.

In '10, I didn't register until the last day of April. Hadn't done any training of note all year to that point (~30 mpw running, and <30 mpw biking). That worked out ok.

Now, were I some sort of Professional at this, I wouldn't be able to make up such a lameass excuse. Certainly not in public.

"I wasn't registered, so I didn't train for a longer race, but now that my bluff got called, I'm using my GF and dog as a shield, and racing the longest event.".

My head asplode.

Second. Or third. Wait, we're talking about ML here, right?!

I didn't say I am not fit, all I said ML was a year from now I will be even fitter more ready and you will just be...older.

BTW: I hear your swim training is perfect for Am Zof though.

Yes, my trademarked Total Aversion (tm) swim training has been in full effect since I stepped onto the beach at Savageman.

Oh, sorry - didn't mean to bring that up again.
Find a happy place... Find a happy place....

You can keep dodging me all ya want. It's cool.
I can understand wanting to avoid that sorta thing.
Humiliations galore.

PS - I'm only a 46 year old limp-wristed albino.

I'm confused - you're a professional, but your website is dot.org, or a not for profit.
Does this mean you don't make money as a pro?
If you're in the top 5 in long course, can we donate your prize money to a swim coach for Bakker?

You'd be better off using that money to light the grill. I've never known a rock to swim.

You all recovered from that torn labia yet?

Hope you're properly trained for an endurance session of 12oz curls.
CrossFit has nothing on AmZof post-race.

He didn't plan on it being not-for-profit.... it just turned out that way.

I don't have to imagine - I'm living it.
We're working over the entry list now, updating for deferrals, etc...
Chances are good you can chick him on the 20th.
If a woman goes top 5 in the male field, she gets both prizes, e.g. if the first woman gets 3rd overall, she'll pick up $500 for first woman PLUS $100 for 3rd overall.
If the top 5 men don't like it, then they shouldn't get chicked.

CrossFit has nothing on AmZof post-race.

Getting the labia trimmed back into place the week after AmZof. I still plan to attend the festivities for "moral support." I'm going to bring my Insanity (TM) koozie and a portable TV so I can watch reruns of the crossfit championships on ESPN 8 (The OCHO!) while you suckers slave out on the plantation.

Ooooh! If I chick him and win men's and women's money, then maybe I'll treat him to a massage course so that he can help me recover faster from my race.

PS recovery from the LC is no joke!

Speaking of recovery from long course, Catskill Mountain Multisport is carrying Podium Legs.
We're awaiting our first delivery, and will discount nicely for AmZof racers. Check them out online - better than a massage, and you can use them daily.

The Total Aversion (TM) swim technique has been on display for years. It serves as ML's natural handicap to give lesser duathletes a sporting chance for the podium in tri events.

hahahaha. I would hate that rule except that my GF is doing the chicking so I can't really lose. Either way we get some of tetsouni 's money.

I was in a bit of a rush on the URL and Johnhirsch.com was a guy that takes photos. The original site name was ironman1.com and you can imagine how that turned out. I had 24 hours to change it before an army of suits stormed my home and dragged me away.

For 2012, there will be no age groups, just weight classes.
The overall will be handicapped by weight.
Kalber is the odds on favorite, assuming I don't race.
If I race, all I need to do is finish during the month of May to win.

I like where your head is at.

(spoken in howard cosell voice:) Truly a sight to behold. A man beaten. The once great champ, now, a study in moppishness. No longer the victory hungry stallion we've raced so many times before, but a pathetic, washed up, aged ex-champion.

What an awesome thread.....read all 225 posts in one sitting. (I'm a Smack-aholic). I noted that the smack talkin' dream crushers were notably silent on the board Tuesday night....at the same time an all new 'Glee' episode aired. No DVR in Momma's basement?

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
Minor move forward
Won't budge the needle
