French press.
Better coffee. Cheaper. And short of an espresso machine, the only way to make coffee.

I went the super cheap route and got an AeroPress...for $25, you're going to be very hard pressed to find something that makes better coffee.
I was also close to getting an EsproPress as well ($85 french press that looked really impressive) but I figured I'd try out the AeroPress first and upgrade when it needs replacing.

youre biased!!! i dont want it for myself. im not a big coffee drinker, but my daughter loves coffee, i figured this would be an easy way to let her have some flavored decaf in the mornings.

Of course not! What you call the French press in the US was invented by an Italian!

Freudian, in a creepy way.
If you love your daughter (in an appropriate, parental, way) buy a proper espresso machine and teach her how to use it (including cleaning up afterwards).

Negative. You want the CBTL, not a Nespresso. The CBTL is rated as high or higher for espresso and is the only machine on the market that can produce espresso and brew coffee.

Get a CBTL machine at Bed Bath & Beyond, with a 20% off coupon. I have had a lot of machines. This one is the best. I have a Kuerig and Nespresso at work. This one is better. It gives my $1500 super-automatic a run for its money. It is the only capsule machine on the market that can produce espresso and brew coffee.

Had a senseo. Don't do it. You can only use their coffee and it gets expensive. Their coffee are pre-grounded and packed so unless you use the packets quickly they will go stale.

If she drinks that she's not really a coffee drinker. :)

If it's easy you want and variety of choices, why not a Keurig.

I really like my Keurig, but, my CBTL is much better and actually produces espresso in addition to brew coffee. The distinct advantage of the Keurig is MUCH bigger selection of coffees/teas/cocoas/etc.

I would agree the quality of coffee goes down a notch with the Keurig. However, it versatility with a number of drink option might appeal to the OP's daughter.
I'm addicted to the damn thing! Making ice tea in the afternoons now.

+1 on the AeroPress - cheap, makes excellent coffee, easy to use and super easy to clean up. There's also very little after the fact costs - filters are super cheap and you can use any kind of coffee.
I use mine every weekend as I get free coffee at work and I don't have time to make coffee on workdays.
We have a Keurig machine at work and about 20 different varieties of coffee - I've tried all the dark/espresso and medium roasts and nothing beats the AeroPress coffee I make at home.

Yeah, I started a new job 11 months ago and both had free coffee at work. My new job's coffee is pretty piss-poor though (coffee grown/etc locally in Nebraska...no thank you...it tasks disgusting and burnt) but my last job have some great coffee. At first I just loaded it up with sugar but that just made me feel like crap in the afternoon so I switched to tea for a few months.
I've been making my own coffee every morning at work with the AeroPress (2 cups a day) for about month now. I'm very impressed with it. I just walk into the break room and get hot water and after that I can just make it in my office in about 5 minutes (including grinding my own beans). I'm not sure how many filters they give you but it came with 2 packets of them and I'm thinking there's 100+ in each packet.

This.
I say get some nice beans, grinder, and a traditional coffee maker. Just place filter, add grounds, add water, hit the button and walk away. Bam. Best coffee ever.
