Critique My Fit Quote | Reply

I've been playing around with my fit a little and want to hear some feedback on what looks good and what can be adjusted. I "feel" good in this position but haven't trialed it on any long rides so I'm not too certain of the long-term comfort. It looks like my seat is a touch high but again, it feels pretty good. I also angled the bars downward a tough from level to see how it would feel, kinda just playing around at this point. Let me know what you think.

*This is on my porch, it is a mess, I know, and yes I am wearing a t-shirt - gasp.

Your seat is definitely too high. You're also too high in front. You may also need more reach, but it's hard to tell until you adjust the saddle height and cockpit.

I know it isn't as helpful as actual fit feedback, but you could improve your videography to make things
easier. I'd suggest a bit further away and a bit higher. Much easier to see your actual position that way.
Also, the t-shirt makes it a bit harder to see vs. a tighter fitting top.

Regarding fit, I think your seat is too high. Freeze frame with your leg down. Toes pointed down, knee pretty straight.

I will lower the seat a bit, are you saying drop the stem down some more to lower the front?

I used an iPhone, best I could get with a makeshift stand. I will try to figure something better out though, thanks.

It helps to make the suggested changes and repost another set of images/video.
Note: It is worth searching some other fit threads for video tips. You're asking for help, make it easy on folks with a good video.

Yes. Whatever you can do (remove spacers, switch to a headset top cap with less stack, etc.) to lower the front. You're pretty high in front right now, and it'll be worse when you get your saddle height correct.

I think the problem you're going to run into is that you don't have enough reach currently. Your torso-to-upper arm angle is much less than 90*. You're likely going to need a longer stem. Of course, you ride REALLY steep. Not sure how you came about that. I normally wouldn't recommend sliding the saddle back to fix a too-short reach, but it may be worth a shot in your case.

You are complaining on a public forum that you are not getting help and I am the one who needs to get laid?

Ok, I will try dropping in lowering the seat back (even with BB currently). I'll also work on getting a better video up after the changes are made. Thanks for the info.

Dude, seriously? That was my attempt to kinda tell you to piss off...now seriously, go fuck yourself. I asked for a critique on my fit not on my use of the forum which is what you seem to be preoccupied with. I know you are new here so let me help to redirect you to somewhere you may feel more comfortable:

or

If you have anything critical to say about my fit I am more than willing to listen, thanks.

I think a lot of people get burnout on all the critique my bike fit posts...There are so many of them...I think you would get more of a response if you went back and looked at some of the better posts for bike fits...Compare your fit to the bike fits that are on here...and heck even pull a picture of a couple of pros with really good fits...

Listen to the advice...Get your fit to look as close as possible to the recommended suggestions...spin/ride and see how it feels...

Step 1 - dial in the look...so it looks the part
Step 2 - Spin/ride around on it a little...and see how it feels...note anything that may seem a litlte off to you or generally uncomfortable....
Step 3 - Post another video...a little better than the previous one with you spinning...and than ask specific questions

This will be a lot better starting point for you to get feedback...I don't think people like restating the same stuff over and over again, when you can just search...I know people want feedback specific to there bike fit, but you have to start with the basics anyways...so start there...

and yes...your seat is too high :)

IMO, the reason you didn't get more responses was because the first response you got was dead on. Try implementing those changes and repost and we can make some refinements.
