I rode the course this past Saturday and the wind was horrible... much slower than I expected to go, but on the bright side, if it's windy this weekend, EVERYONE will have to deal with it...

Right, but do all 12 have the possibility to score in that top 4?

Just caught this in the event guide, they will all have the possibility to score in the top 4, but only 7 can serve as placeholders to push other teams down, see page 46 Paragraph 10 of the program.

wave 5 for me...lets get this party started!

any else racing open division?

temps continue to cool off, with little to no wind, forecast should not play much of a role at all.

I'm trying to move into wave 5. Reason being ucsb and california school swimmers who might be able to pack up. Not sure why some got wave 5, and some got wave 6.....

Shameless plug...

I put a coupon in the igift bag you get when you register for the race to get a free chicken sandwich at my Chick-fil-A restaurant a couple miles away in Northport. I'll have a tent set-up out there as well if you guys get hungry or thirsty (will have water and coffee).

Or stop by to see my cow printed tri bike or my missing thumb (yes, i'm the guy that posted about cutting off my thumb on here).

I miss those days. I'm playing a game called chase from behind. We'll see how it plays out. My goal is to pass all my former teammates who all have a 20 minute head start. Funny how our top 3 guys all left the same year....

LOL...

So last year ~10% of the field receives a drafting or blocking penalty, and since we all know how few instances of drafting and blocking are actually observed by the refs and written up we can pretty safely assume that damn near everyone in the race ran afoul of the position rules at some point, whether intentional or not. And for the condiments on that shit sandwich, the overall winner was decided by a penalty.

USAT's response... change absolutely nothing. I want some of whatever they're smoking.

Good luck to everyone. I've just recently gotten in to help coach NC State's tri team, so I'll be there repping them! Good luck to everyone, stay safe out there, and if you are free, dont be afraid to give a shout!

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
