I am finding that when I upload my data from my Garmin 500 into Trainingpeaks and Garmin Connect there are discrepancies in the data. Has anyone else experienced this problem? For example, on my ride today Trainingpeaks has my average power at 235. When I look at the same ride in Garmin Connect it says that my average power was 249. Why are they showing up differently? When I look at the data on the Edge 500 it gives me a third different Avg power of 245 watts. Do I have my stuff set up wrong? Anyone know why the data on the Edge is going directly to Trainingpeaks and GarminConnect with the numbers displayed on the Edge?

Just guessing here, but ... they all might normalize the data differently. Also, some may do zero-averaging others not.

Training peaks adds zeroes. And doesn't used NP. maybe garmin uses your np more then actual power.

Do you use device agent? I find when I use device agent all my info is different. I just upload from the history on my mac and the numbers are the same as Garmin connect.

I do use device agent. How do you upload directly?

I find the file on my hard drive that holds all the garmin data. Click on upload file on the work out tab on TP.

Device agent simply does this in one step but the data is stored on your hard drive. On a MAC its Library>Application support>Garmin>Device>1234???(Device id)>History. It will have all the TCX files there. Not sure where it would be on the PC
