Mountain Bikers!! XTR m970 Group!!!

Hey You Mountain Bikers!!!
If you're looking to build up a high-end race bike on the cheap, this is the place to be! Try an Xterra this year! Chris Carmichael just talked using an off road triathlon as cross training during your ironman build.
So here's the group:
-XTR m970 crank. 2x9 setup with only the middle and outer ring installed. 32 & 44 tooth rings. I don't have the inner ring. 175mm.
-XTR bb - smooth bearings
-XTR m970a shifters - excellent shape
-XTR RDm972 rear derailleur - clean and pullys in great shape
-XTR RDm971 front derailleur - 34.9 clamp - great shape and moves very smoothly.
-XTR BLm975 disc brakes - front and rear. Rear has mounting bolts, front does not. No rotors. Very good shape and they do not need to be bled before riding.
Please do some price checking on ebay to verify the value here.
Crank: $225
bb: $20
Shifters: $150
F. Der: $40
R. Der: $100
Brakes: $135 / pair
Shipping: $20
Total: $690 shipped
This is a very aggressive group price, and each part is priced lower than what you can get individually on ebay. Price is firm. I'm looking to sell this as a group, not individually.
I also have various mtb handlebars, stems, grips, seats & posts if you need any of those. Everything's cheap!
Please let me know if you have any questions at all!
Thanks!

Hi!
Good questions!
I turn my stuff over yearly. It has one summer of riding. Not sure on the miles. I don't have replacement wheels, but, they spin really nicely so they aren't needed. I don't think you'll need new pulleys this year unless you trash them in the muck this spring..
Thanks!

What size rotor does the IS caliper use? How long are the hoses? And are the pads solid?
If anybody wants the drivetrain, I'd be interested in the brakes and maaaaaybe the crank arms. I ride an SS almost exclusively, so the shifty bits are of no use to me.

Hi- the pads are in ok shape. They have a year on them. There aren't any rotors, but I believe standard xtr rotors are 160's. You could use different sizes with adapters. They came off an 18" bike, but I'll have to measure the hoses. I'm really looking to sell the whole kit right now so I have the per part proces pretty low. I'd have to raise them up if I parted them out.
Thanks!

Well for the rotors, there are 140's, 160's, 185's and 203's. I'm pretty sure the calipers are specific to rotor size and while there are adapters, you typically have to size up the rotor if you need to run one with an IS caliper.
I saw that you're not interested in parting it out, so I threw it out there that I'd be willing to buy the brakes if somebody bought your kit but didnt want or need them.

I'd probably take the whole group if the cranks were 170mm.

If you decide to part it out and the poster above doesn't take the brakes, I'm interested. Sorry, don't need a whole group (though if you'd had the older style shifters I'd have been tempted), Good luck selling the group.

Thanks! I'm going to keep it together at this point unless someone wants the whole kit less one piece...
Noticed your username. Love the WRX! I have an '07 wagon w/ a bunch of mods. Waiting on some new wheels. Sweet!!!

I used to have a WRX.... Also, I'm not really interested in the brakes anymore. Just picked up a new set of brakes. Still somewhat interested in the crank arms if anybody wants to part it out after they buy the group.
