Yep, that's my experience too. Once the timer counted down, I hit refresh on the browser and was greeted with this:

Error: Could not make a database connection using phpconnect@willow.safesecureweb.com

haha. Just saw that. I was curious to see if there was going to be a bunch of hype and then people justifying NOT buying the wheels.

Weird. Seems like us Tri geeks are looking for a reason to buy instead of a reason to hold off. I wonder if there's a little "too good to be true" jitters creeping into people's minds.

I was all prepared and ready to go but with reservations, I'm taking this as a sign and starting to shop for a power meter instead

Well they need to change their error page so it doesn't display the database user...

This is an impulse buy today for sure since I just sold some extra items and have some cash to play with but I can not play so I am thinking twice now.

I just kept hitting F5 each time that showed (about 3 times between each page) and eventually got through. Order #133.

If you get the error, just keep refreshing. You will eventually get through. It took me some time but I was able to get both wheels in my cart for the first group.

Errors trying to check out, but more concerning is no secure checkout. Anyone else notice that?

Oh crap! Looks like it's back up now.

These wheels look great! If I had some more money I'd be the whole line of them.

Well, I pulled the trigger. I'll be the guinea pig. I got through. It doesn't look like the server crashed, just a bottleneck somewhere on the database.

But who knows, I didn't do very well in database sys in college.

Either way, It shows that I successfully placed an order.

Did it allow anyone to select the state? I am hoping the postal code and the city is enough....

I had LOTS of errors trying to checkout. It's 12 minutes later and I'm still waiting for the order to go through. THere's just a little text saying 'Please Wait'.

I guess we get what we pay for?
