Have you used Glycerins in the past?
The Glycerin is a "beast" shoe intended for bigger runners. I wear 10 1/2 and vary between 160 and 180 and I have never had less than 500 miles. My shoes normally look pristine at 500 miles compared to my friend with pronation in Asics Kayanos.
If my current 7s don't prematurely wear I will skip version 8 entirely, but if my 7s are poor then I will have to look for a new shoe as even paying $65/pair fifteen pairs of shoes a year is absurd for few miles I run.
Swim - Bike - Run the rest is just clothing changes.
