Man total goosebumps! I love this sport! Being in the UK we dont get much coverage so being able to watch live online is amazing

Update: All the main guys out on the bike with Potts out front maybe a 3min lead ish?

Rachel Joyce out 1st on the women, Julie diebens next. 52+ swim for Rachel, another minute to Julie. Not too bad for either on a slow swim day. Men are riding really tight so far, probably letting them ride a little close until they can seperate and see who is going to ride where in the group.

Ya Macca definately made an illegal pass on Faris. You could se Faris was pissed and he just sat up and drifted back. Macca looks like he is on a mission on the bike, but he may have just bought 4 minutes in the sin bin..

The ironmanlive feed is awesome. I am really enjoying the live coverage. I like the NBC broadcast for its strengths, but I really love the race coverage that we are getting live today! I just wish Universal would broadcast it on their satellite/cable feed.

Saw a cool thing on Ironmanlive.com....Karen Smyers is racing as the oldest pro in the field at 49 for charity. She seems like a really cool person...would love to suck down a few brews with her.

I think he was "setting up" the female announcer to describe arm coolers. I assure you that Paul Huddle knows the difference between arm coolers and arm warmers.

First AG'er out of the water, kind of slow at about 52 flat. I guess we do not have any of the world class OW swimmers in the AG heat today. Like I said, course was about a minute slow for the leaders, so more as you swim slower, so a lot of dissappointed swimmers when they see the clock as they run out..

And Huddle was kidding on the arm warmer thing, he knows about coolers, but he has a long history of making fun of all the triathlon fashion, ever since the Euro speedo..Heard about the Underpants run?? That is Huddle...

Sure didn't sound like it to me...his response to her comment was more of "duh" than "that's right"

Also, are they required to wear their race belts on the bike? Seems like they are really flapping around in the wind

Oh please...

BTW....for all you all. IF you have a PS3...

I am currently streaming off of VLC to my PC (Windows 7 Pro) and then back out to the Playstation and to my home theater - the lag is about half a second PC to TV...it may be being recorded too...on the Playstation (modified with a 1000gig drive).

So, yes if you have the gear you can put this to your TV.

I was wondering the exact same thing. Also Terenzo Bozzone was out in the top 10 but not to be seen since

Would a 6th place Kona finish in the 90's "qualify"?

Just because someone doesn't keep up with many questionable trends in this sport shouldn't disqualify him/her from commentating. Armchair quarterbacks clad in compression gear abound today.

According to Matt Dixon's twitter, lieto is in the main group on the bike chasing Potts.

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
