Hopefully I'm not the only person slightly lost here...

Are we using a similar web-based spread sheet like last year or is there a new resource here on Slowtwitch that we are using as our training log?

The benefit of the previous Excel spreadsheet we used last year was that everyone could log in and see each other's progress. It kept you honest and guilt-tripped you into training when you saw that others were training too. That benefitted me when it was cold and dark out. Anything helps to get out the door at 10:00 PM on a cold, dark Wednesday night when you have a million reasons to not go out the door.

Also- most importantly- thanks again for this Dev. It's a huge help!

I'm confused, too. I don't see how the Slowtwitch training log would work for this. Maybe someone can correct me? It looks as though individually you could add in your runs but there would be no way to track everyone else's progress in one spot unless it was all in one spreadsheet...

Training log? Did I miss something? Is it up already or is there a link that gives a sneak preview?

If it goes on again, I'm in again for this year. In fact, I've already started with 22 straight days in November (today's 35 minutes after 2:10 on the bike trainer was my shortest run of the month). Got to get ready for Boston!

Everyone's saying they're in, but there's nobody to actually set up and sort the google spreadsheet stuff.... do we have a volunteer for that? I'd certainly do it but am useless with excel...

For all of you people who are confused, go out and run! Whether or not it gets recorded on a spreadsheet is a secondary benefit...if you end up doing 115 runs in 115 days, it won't be a terrible thing.

You mean... just run and no comparing ourselves to others, trying to go farther and run faster than the guy below us in the spreadsheet. Preposterous!!! We are triathletes after all you know.

I'm working on a Google Docs Spreadsheet for this year...hopefully it will be done in a few days. It will be the same as last years only without all of the extra info...atleast until day 30 or so when we have more data to compile. I'll post a link once I have it done.

Greg,
Thanks a bunch. I sent a few messages to Dev Paul already about the current interest but he seems MIA. Rumor has it that he has chosen to become a curling ace instead. If I don't hear back from him by Monday, I'll start the new 08/09 thread, but really think it should be him to start it.

I believe Dev is in China or somewhere no where near his home trying to get some stuff wrapped up and delivered by the 25th or 26th. Then he comes home and might want to hang out with his family a bit before worrying about his extended ST family.

Dev sent me an email and will update in the the next couple days. He is in India on business and has a tough time logging in to ST from his Blackberry.

I ran today using my Garmin. I just uploaded it to my computer and see it was only 2.8 miles. Does this count for one of the run days or should I go out and run another .2 before it counts. Please let me know ASAP as it is almost midnight and I don't want to miss my first day.

Thanks!
