The descent is over, time to climb Andy!!! Like I said, if he has the legs and can do a climbing time trial. It's over. 3 minutes :O

Sporza's theory: Andy is doing this as a domistique for Frank. They doubt Andy can pull it off, and that he knows this himself and that's why he's pulling the way he does now. The goal would be to soften up the group behind while they ride Frank back to the front.

No way, Andy is doing this for himself. That theory is bullshit. IF it doesn't pan out, it'll still help Frank, they have nothing to lose

I'm not sure I agree. Andy should be able to hold three minutes if he still has that at the bottom. And FS isn't going to get the same amount. I think we're seeing all Leopard-Trek's cards right now. But we'll see in the next hour.

Agreed. The benefit of having two guys in the top 5.

Why not let Montfort do the pulling on the false flat than?

On the other hand it's a big advantage for Frank tomorrow if everything falls apart today and he has an easy ride...

Three minutes? On a 23km climb? With marginal help? That's nothing.

They should just merge Saxo and Euskatel. Same team anyway right now.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the GC group over the next 30k. How much of hurt did AS put on himself that that group (or a few choice riders) can regain the 2:55.

I'm waiting until the finish before I call anyone a BAMF. Maybe even the finish tomorrow.

AS was down 1:18 to Cadel Evans. With a 3:12 lead, thats roughly 2 mins virtual lead for AS over Cadel (top GC guy). I think people were saying AS needed roughly 1:30ish lead going into the TT.

AS looks like he's going to stay away, now the math is going to come into play.

Perhaps the "lameness" that the FrAndy acquired in the last couple of days is tainting my belief that Andy has not overextended himself for today AND tomorrow.
