Can anyone comment on a 2008 vs. 2009 comp? The 09 has a full vision cockpit and the 08 is pretty standard except for the Zipp aero bars. The 08 is also around $500 cheaper. Anything else I'm missing?

Hey does anyone have one of the blue seat posts they would be willing to part with? I think its from 2008 but I'm looking for a 450 mm length one in either std or team set back..

I would really appreciate it because mine broke in a crash..

If you'd make do with an s-works post there is one on e-bay right now.

It's been asked a couple times, but here goes again. I'm trying to find the black and yellow zero offset seat post for a 2009 Transition comp. Any ideas. I've done quite a bit of google'ing with no luck. I've only been able to find the white and black one listed on the Specialized website. If I can't find one I may have mine painted.

Thanks!

Your looking for someone with a small frameset, the zero offset only came in size small in non S-works framesets.

good luck.

Re: Specialized Transition mafia [rowell122] [In reply to] Quote | Reply

I could be wrong, but I think the reason why you've had no luck is because the comp only comes with one seat post option. Someone mentioned it in an early thread (i.e. only the s-works version had 2 seatposts) and if you go on specialized's website, it mentions two seatposts for the s-works only (go under archives and click under "technical specifications" for the s-works and the comp) .

Ok...

Basically I'm looking for the Zero but in a different color.

There are photos of red ones, white ones, and black ones in this forum thread. Just need to figure out where to find one.

That is indeed a pic of my bike, but I am not selling. (Well, it's always for sale if the right offer is made, but I am not actively pursuing a buyer.)
I should charge a royalty fee for my pic.

Is your wheel cover just taped on? it doesn't seem to have the screws in place. I was thinking of doing this, any ideas?

Okay: Old Skool Specialized Transition. Still love it!
My next TT bike will be a Transition again. Would like a white one :-) Only see the red, the blue-ish and the black-yellow... Have to wait or custom paint.

Thanks. I've seen it around but too much red for my taste. I recognize it's becoming more and more the signature of Specialized. I really like the clean look of a white and/or black bike.

The New Specialized Wind Tunnel
Will this be a game changer for Specialized, in both sales and product design, or will it not move the sales and design needle versus those in Specialized's competitive set?
Yes, Game Changer
