whoa, I just read your reply, even considering what you said, if I were the shop, as THE DIRECT REPRESENTIVE of Specialized, I would have driven to your house. You said, "The dealer installed the spider wrong." thereby placing the cause of your delimma squarely on the dealer, case closed. I have used snap ring pliers as others mentioned with Lock-Tite to repair these same cranks. The shop has poor customer service and have you brain washed I respectfully believe.
