running shoe forefoot protection Can't Post

With all of the recent running shoe threads, I thought I would post a question of practical importance . . . . to me.

Are there any neutral cushioned training shoes on the market with extra forefoot protection? I'm thinking of something like a trail shoe but with a normal outlast. Only one that comes to mind for me is the Nike Vomero, but that has a gigantic amount of heel cushioning, too.

I just bought a pair of Brooks Ghost. With the exception of the Newton's these have the softest forefoot of any shoes I have tried. Plus they do not have the bulky heel.
