loud bells/air horns/other implements for commuting? Can't Post

I swear that despite being decked in a bright yellow jacket and with reflective strips all over the place and TWO very bright front lights (one steady, one blinking) any time I approach an intersection where a car coming opposite me is trying to turn left I get worried, since more often than not they just go through even if it means either having me slam on my brakes or me sprinting to avoid them crashing in my back wheel.

Any advice for something LOUD that I can put on my bike to be noticed a bit more? I am afraid that in traffic when it's raining a bell would not really be heard too much (at least not the bells I have seen in stores, maybe there are some louder bells available somewhere), I have toyed with the idea of duct taping some hockey-game-type air horns to my handlebars but I'd like something a little easier to mantain :)

Right concern, but wrong solution. For rainy conditions and reduced light situations you want to stand out. Best solution is cheap. You put a safety light on your front fork.

Looking down with straight ahead being 12:00 oclock, on the right fork you mount a light pointing at 2:00, and on the left fork you mount another light pointing at 10:00.

REI has 3 models for $10 each. Take your pick. They are super effective. Drivers stop just to see the strange visual experience.

You know they make an air horn for bicycles that can be refilled with a bike pump, very effective and light weight.

thanks for the air horn suggestions, again, I don't think adding another two lights to the two I already have (not to mention all the reflective stripes I have on my jacket (6) and on my pants (4)) would make much of a difference at this point.

There used to be a product called "Air Zound" that used a 2L water bottle to (air) power a really loud horn. I've never tried one myself but they used to get decent reviews.

I find that I can yell a lot louder and faster than I could hit a horn, plus there's the added advantage that I can yell whatever I want. :D

A few years ago I have seen an article with an electronical tooter that produced 120db. I cannot find it anymore, somebody know about that product? It's easier to put on the bike...
