Do you make sure the first bead is in the center of the rim before trying to get the tube on? I'll admit that Flos aren't the easiest rims but they shouldn't be as much trouble as you're having.

Seriously, any triathlete or cyclist should have The Bead Jack in their arsenal:

It's $12 VERY WELL spent.

and you can cut 50% of the handle off and still have plenty of leverage to pry on even the toughest tire.

Good video, but a few things:

Not sure about flos, but AL/carbon clincher zipps have a a barely noticeable dip in the center, so the bead is not really much looser there.

Then, if one uses veloplugs, those are about 1 mm thick each over each spoke hole so that pretty much eliminates the barely noticeable dip in the rim center. So a tire is essentially equally tight on the center as on the bead seats.

I still like the kool stop tool, but it still takes some skill to get a new conti SS on a zipp without pinching a latex tube.

All I need is 1 Pedro's lever to put tires on a Flo wheel. Those things are almost too durable.

At least in my experience, I went from the same trouble as the OP describes (For FLO30 as well as 60/90 Disc) to not what you see in the HED video.

Not sure I follow you completely. So you watched the hed video and that helped? Or something else?

Can I ask where you are in this process. There are quite a few tips and tricks that can help. Have you seen our how to video? Also, what tire are you using?
