p2 post slipping
I have a 2012 p2 that the seat post keeps slipping down on me. I have put carbon paste and tighten the clamp past the 4nm to no avail.

any suggestions?

You could try to add a thin layer of tape to "shim" up the size. Then liberally use the carbon paste.

Lots of remedies such as:

  • Use hairspray. This really does work.
  • Use tape to beef up the seatpost size
  • Cut an aluminum can and shimmy a piece down into the hole to wedge the gap
  • Use more than 4nm

Contact cervelo for them to warranty your post. I had a problem with my p3 slipping, and it was the post itself not precisely to spec. New post, has never slipped.
