I should also note that he also recommended:
1. - a mid foot cleat position
2. - slam the base bar
3. - to always spin >100

I will get a video of the current low position and add a pic of the before pic this evening.

1 - Makes sense, reduce loading on knees/achilles - more load to heels.
2. - Reap the aero benefits of course
3. - Will reduce the likelihood of back related issues with this setup. I am sure a roadie wouldn't run like this for example. Bad enough with lots of cycling this makes things worse.

you can get similar benefit by using a zero stack pedal system, lower rider, lower position but still have some normal hip angles.

So you are saying lowering your saddle will increase the probability of having hamstring issues? I am have hamstring issues and I am not sure what to do.

It could. Consult your bike fitter or experiment on your own.

Was your fitter named Hotman57? I believe his standard advice for everyone was to raise their saddle 6 inches, tilt the nose all the way down, and let gravity do the work for you...

Not saying it will 100% cause you problems but when I was dicking around with my saddle position I lowered mine quite a bit so my ankles were close to 90% at the bottom of my pedal stroke and I really felt more stress on my calves and Achilles which resulted in I believe hamstring cramping on my runs. It eventually went away as my calves adjusted to this different stressor thankfully. I've since raised up my saddle a little but not as high as it was.
