I took a bad spill on my bike today and I need to replace a severely scratched screen.
Does anyone have experience with this (time, cost), or know if you can go through anyone else besides Garmin to do this?
I've never had anything but great service from Garmin CS, so I'd just go that route.
What, no screen protectors? ;)

Give Garmin a try before you go the 3rd party route. Best case scenario, they give you a replacement so they can use your watch as a test case of a crashed 920. Likely case, they offer you a replacement for a subsidized fee. Worst case, they tell you to pound sand. Either way, you are no worse off than you are right now, and you don't have to worry about losing money to a 3rd party who may or may not make the watch like new.
