Buying a Treadmill
I have finally decided it is time to purchase a treadmill. Can you please tell me what models or brands you would recommend. Features you would definitely look for or do without. This is going in a basement so headroom is an issue. Specific models that are still for sale would be appreciated.
Thanks

Do a search. A couple of us just asked a similar question in the past week or two.

I'm waiting delivery on a Sole 80.

True is having 20% off on Black Friday, and I'm getting a PS100. What's your budget?

Nearly anything between $1400-2400 is outstanding. Look for Black Friday deals.

Sole has a very good reputation for customer service and is often on sale and easily available at many retail and online distributors. I love my F80. But there are def a lot of other choices that even cost less and have similar function.

I would like to keep it under $1500 if possible. We live in a small town so our selection is very limited. I would like to test it out prior to purchasing but it is just not possible. The Sole looks pretty good. Any info on the F63 as it is a lot cheaper than the F80?
Thanks

I was on the market recently and debated between the F80 and the F63, eventually pulled the trigger on the F63. Ordered mine from Amazon, as they were having a sale.
So far happy with it. The big deal for me from Treadmillreviews.net was this is probably the only one in the sub-1000 range that has a 3.0 CHP motor. Everything else in that range is 2.5 or less.
From reading a lot of reviews online, the motor HP is the key factor in how long a treadmill lasts. For folks like most on this forum, the mileage being put on it would make a higher HP motor a pre-requisite. Personally i didnt care a lot about the online connectivity and iFit and other thing-ama-jigs on other models. The F63 has a fan, and some kick ass speakers and goes all the way to 12.
Have had about 4 long runs on it since I got it, been pretty happy with it so far.

First off, for budget I just think of the cost to go to a game 7 in Hockey or Baseball or a Grey cup game or a Super Bowl. Take the ticket cost, travel cost, metchandise cost, airfare, hotel, add it all up. But, instead of doing that, you are purchasing something that will last MUCH longer. You now have a budget large enough to buy pretty well whatever you want.

My Landice L7 will be her within a week or two.

Unfortunately for me going to a high school football game is out of my budget unless I take my own snacks.

Did you end up deciding? I think I'm going to go with a NordicTrack Commercial 1750. $1285 shipped.

We are going to St Louis soon so I am going to try to look at them there. Consumer Reports rated the 1750 very highly but when I looked at the lower end Nordictracks that are here locally I was not impressed, but they were low end models. Let me know if what you think of yours after you use it.
Thanks

General consensus is that all the icon brands (nordictrack, proform, etc) have very poor reliability and customer service. It's worth it to spend a bit more up front and have a product that lasts a long time.

Depends on planned usage right?

If person A plans to run 6 days a week yearround on the dreadmill, but person B only plans to use it 1-2 times a month when a heatwave or snowstorm cramps his style... the treadmill needed would be very different.

I've had aLandice L7 for four years now. It is a fabulous machine and has been worth every penny.
