David Mullaney: Mr "Consistent Kona Man"
I have a buddy of mine who races Ironman XC at Kona. He's competed there with XC 5 times. I find his results amazingly consistent--especially given how variable the conditions are:

2009...43...10:49:56
2010...44...10:48:08
2011...45...10:41:14
2013...47...10:42:03
2014...48...10:48:39

for all I know he may be the most consistent Kona athlete of all time....

Plus he's a great guy!

To me, "XC" means cross country. What are you using it for in this context?

Habitual line stepper.

the WTC website really left me with more questions than answers but this old thread helped explain it a bit more but i still don't quite understand the qualifying proceess... http://forum.slowtwitch.com/...e_of_things_P3001213

Congrats ! Your's is super impressive in a higher plane for sure Bryan....I was just doing some of my end of the year analysis and was struck by how awesome David's consistency is....I'll state it here--no legit Kona guy has been as consistent over the last 6 years as him....

With all due respect to your friend but that distinction belongs to Ken Glah.
