I have my local marathon a month and a week after my IM. Last time when I ran my marathon, I had to recover for over a week.
But a friend of mine is saying that since I was training all summer this is probably will be one of my best shape and he suggested to ran IM and marathon too.
My best standalone marathon so far was just minutes less 4hrs.
I think I can run the marathon, but I really don't want to run close to 5 hrs. and don't want to stress my legs more than I need to
What is a good recovery and training time for marathon after IM? Should I sign up for the local marathon?
