Quarq, We Want 150 & 155mm Cranks!

Who else here would buy a Quarq powermeter if they had shorter crank options?

If you just get some alloy ones there are people who can cut them down for you. I can get you contact info you want.

Jack, what Quarq models have, or are compatible with alu armed cranks?

Vectors are a good option, I have a roadie friend that likes them a lot.
I use 155's on my TT bike and 170's on my road bike and I use a powertap. I have heard nothing but good things about the Quarq but Power2 Max has short crank options at a reasonable price and great support.

Would a Power2max and Rotor 3d serve you? rotor will make the 3d any length you desire.

Based on some information I received, the answer would be no.

For powermeters, a good track record, excellent customer service and very accurate unit are important to me. Powertap and Quarq are fill those requirements quite well. I'd probably stick with Powertap except I'm using a Lemond Revolution Trainer and would like to have the same powermeter for everything.

Would a used Quarq Saturn for Rotor get the job done, except no warranty.

I have Quarq in 170s sitting in a box with cut down 150s on my bike w/o a powermeter. I've called/emailed a few times with no encouraging options.

I think Quarq were silly to do the Riken in Carbon - if it were alloy they could have dropped the price a little (or had more margin) and it would be easy to offer a range of lengths without hefty mould setup costs (as long as you're not trying for superlight hollow all the way to the pedal spindle). And Elsa would have more of a justification for a premium.
