No swim for me this AM. I'm really sore – arms, shoulder, and back. Time for a break. Plus, this afternoon, I get my (what will likely be annually) cortisone epidural so my left leg continues to function somewhat normally. In a couple weeks, I have my first OW swim - Salt Creek 2.4 mile.

My Fitness Log Progress

Month --- Total Distance
Jan ------- 50.17 miles (=88,300 yards, =80,742 meters)
Feb ------- 42.16 miles (=74,200 yards, =67,848 meters)
Mar ------- 61.93 miles (=109,000 yards, =99,670 meters)
Apr ------- 34.32 miles (=60,400 yards, =55,230 meters)
TOTAL -- 188.58 miles (=331,900 yards, =303,489 meters)

Thanks for all the condolences. Super tired and not feeling particularly well (physically) this morning.

April: 71,700 yds

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

I hadn't had anything to eat today other than a cup of coffee, so I elected to make my lunchtime swim a technique workout, trying to get rid of some of the windmill from my right arm and clean up the entry a bit.

400 warmup
4x(100 pull @1:45 moderate, 100 kick on 2:00 moderate, 100 at a 200 free effort) free's were 1:11, 1:10, 1:10 , 1:07

the last one was a season PB for me from a push, only 4 seconds off my 100 from provincials, and wasn't even flat out. Yay for free speed!

6x25 on :45, minimize stroke count. (4 pull, 2 swim) lowest was 11 with 2 dolphins off the wall
10x25 (3 breast, 2 back, 2 fly, 3 free)

2000 scm

I don't have an official swim split to report from the HITS olympic race this weekend, but as I was exiting the water the race director mentioned he 'had me right at 19 minutes'. Water temp was ~72, and I was wearing a full sleeve wetsuit.

The reason I don't have an official split is I DNF'd. which sucked.
