SRM Wireless and Garmin 405 Can't Post

I am contemplating the wireless SRM (long time user of SRM...since 2001) and have used the Garmin 305 for the last couple of years, with a forerunner before that. Both my SRM FSA pro and 305 are getting a bit old (well, the SRM isn't really...but I am trying to sell the other half it is), so hence the thoughts of the next steps.

With the Ant+ tech or whatever it is exactly called used on both the Garmin and the SRM, will the Garmin 405 mate up and work with the SRM (HR strap included?)

I would like to get rid of multiple HR straps and be able to race with one system potentially (never have yet, but would like the option for early season races). So, anybody have this combo or experience with it? Thanks for the feedback.

The 405 is the latest Forerunner? As such it won't read power from the wireless SRM. You'd need the Edge 705 and then jump off the bike and run with the 405 on, using the same chest transmitter.
