I think I'm in. Just depends on if I can get away for the weekend. I hear the bike course is a cake-walk and the run course is ungodly painful (straight up the ski hill). Sounds like fun.

Cook, thanks for the race report. I've done many, many tri's and many adventure races, but never an xterra tri...should be good.

The bike course isn't totally a cake-walk, its just boring. To put it in a few words: you climb to the top of a fireroad hill, bomb down it to the parking lot, climb back up it again, bomb down a 2nd time. All fireroad.

And yes the run course was designed by satan himself

So I can't make it to Xterra nationals this year, the revised race schedule:
Sept. 20th: San Diego City College Invitational 10k
Oct. 5th: Bonelli Olympic Distance Tri
Oct. 12th: Big Bear Fall Classic XC Mtb

I'll be there again. Fun course and the description is as the other posters have stated.

A bonus at this race is that Conrad Stoltz will be there and racing. Should be fun to see him in a small race and hear him talk post race.
