What's the biggest thing you've carried on your bike? Can't Post

I wanted to let my fellow STers know about a contest we're doing at my blog, AustinBikeBlog.org. We're asking people to submit photos of the largest haul they've carried on their bikes. We're going to give away a Brooks B17 saddle to the winner and other cool stuff for 2nd and 3rd place.

So what's the biggest thing you've hauled on or with your bike?

A Christmas turkey... and I live in Canada so it was not only heavy, but it was also the middle of winter.

They happen fairly often around here, especially with the messenger/hardcore commuting community. Lots of folks living the car-free life; if I ever get access work vehicle to cover what I need to do for work it's something I'd seriously consider.

But I'd still probably get a moving truck. :-)

A bonked cyclist who made a fist in my jersey pocket - towed him for the final 20mi of a 115mi ride.

I used to carry 6 bags of groceries hanging from my handlebars, about 10 blocks on my MTB...

Ummm....

Help me visualize this, Chip. Oh, wait a minute -- *jersey* pocket. Check. Much better than that other pocket. No, wait a minute, the fist part is still disturbing...

That's my teammate Billy! He was having an awesome day too...made the break on the hardest climbing day and then crashed in the last 2k. Nuts.

Do we post here or on your blog.

My entry...

This piece of manzanita wood. Probably about 60ish pounds and 7 to 8 feet tall. I lugged it 4 miles back to my house on trails and fireroads. It's terribly bulky and weighted unevenly, so was extremely difficult to carry. Had tons of scratches and a few pokes through the skin. I tried to get the biggest piece I could find for my sister's and her husbands lizard cage.
