Weyless skewers

Has anyone ever bent a skewer before - possibly from over tightening the rear wheel on your trainer?
The weyless skewer has a funky little pin that releases the quick release arm and is makes it a little wierd to get it snug in the trainer's groove. Has anyone else come across this problem? I just switched to a different skewer and noticed that the weyless one was bent at the end.
