Watts Per Kilogram - By Richard Wharton Can't Post

For those of you training with some sort of power device, have any of you read the "Watts Per Kilogram"?

www.onlinebikecoach.com/publications.asp

I came across this title while perusing the Computrainer forums and I'm hoping to get some user feedback before I decide whether to purchase.

Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks.

I found it to be the perfect companion to the CT instructions on how to train with power with a CT. I was a bit lost but WPK layed out everything the CT does in an organized fashion. I think Coggan's book is a better resource for training with a powermeter, but for the CT, I found WPK cleared up everything I was confused about.

Probably should read the book, but I was training with Wharton yesterday. I find him to be an extremely bright and detail-oriented guy. I would be greatly surprised if the book isn't worth your time.

I consider myself fairly 'up' on power, but he's the guy I go to when questions do arise.

(Or for getting slogged on 4x9's on the CompuTrainer class on Tuesday afternoons.)

Training and racing with a Power Meter by Hunter Allen & Andy Coggan. These two are the foremost authorities on power training. The book is a great resource.

Thanks for the compliments, but for a CT owner, Richard's excellent book is a must better (1st*) choice, as it specific to that common piece of equipment.

*A CT owner might also want our book because Richard discusses/utilizes concepts such as normalized power.
