Triathlon Reality Show Casting for Athlete's

It doesn't matter is you are fast or slow, a newbie or an old vet, if you love the sport of triathlon and are up for the ultimate challenge, then we want to hear from you.
We are casting for television's first triathlon based reality show to be shot this Summer over a 3-4 week period.
Contestants will be coached by the best pros in the industry as they compete, train and live in our custom, triathlon village.
Send us a picture, and tell us a little about yourself, and you never know you might end up on TV!

Define "athlete".
Arguably the best tri coach in the world has never done a triathlon.
Reading your t-dot website, I wonder what you know at all about the sport, except what you can regurgitate from other sources...

We tried to get one of these up and running in Canada last year. Some interest from OLN, but not enough to go through.

I have to ask??? But what kind of life structure does someone have that could put their life on hold and do a reality TV show. Is it just going to be people who still live at home with their parents and college kids on summer break? Don't get me wrong, I'd watch the show if it ever made it to the air waves, but I'm just curious how people do that? "Survior" at least is for some huge money and exposure on a national level for people who think they need to be discovered, thus there's always at least one girl with the breast implants.

All contestants will be equipped with brand new gear. Bikes, shoes, clothes, wet suit, nutrition, shoe laces, etc.

you guys joke about what kind of lifestyle you must have to stop what you are doing and be on a reality show for a few weeks...well conveniently I'm a college student who would be more than willing to drop his job and school for a month to focus on his obsessive training for his first IM...and did I mention get free gear that I otherwise couldn't afford? I guess that would mean I could give away my OCR3, clip-on aerobars and wheelcover. any takers?...I'm keeping the helix though, you can't take away my helix...nobody can...

I can do it. I run a small technology firm and as long as I have my laptop (built-in wireless broadband), my cell phone, and FedEx available, I can be anywhere. I just need a few hours a day here and there to make sure things are going smoothly.
I think I'll go ahead and apply but I'm sure the last contestant they want is a mediocre white boy wannabee.

Is it jsut me or is this the lamest kind of reality television anyone can think of. I mean, come on, there will be no drunk scenes, maybe you get a little romance, but what else besides that, some guy or gal puking. Fights perhaps?? "Dude, you didn't give it your all that last 5 miles of the bike", "F you dude, your a little bitatch, I gave it all I had!"

I'm just starting in triathlons and can barely swim. That would surely be TV worthy...people would be glued to their TV's just watching to see if today is the day I drown. Therefore i should be chosen immediately.

Are you kidding? Put a bunch of type A+ people in with a smattering of type A-, and you have some drama! Plus, all the ego in one place for that long will lead to fireworks. I would assume they would try to cast some edgy people to add to the drama, perhaps even the opinionatedcyclist! Think of the fun with him in the same room as Paulo!

How much training/racing/coaching can you fit in 4 weeks? And how many shows would be made?
Comparing it with survivor, they're out there 5 weeks or so and have challenges every day or two. I just can't see 'training' being that exciting, or enough time (recovery) to have enough challenges in four weeks for it to be entertaining.
I hope you're succesfull though, I'm just throwing out some thoughts.

According to the producers, who are all triathletes, that has been thought out and taken into consideration. They told us no more, but to expect something cool, fun and entertaining.
