Dealer or website is where the geometry, color, weight (maybe) and cost info will be. Ought to be in both locations very soon. Considering we did P1 on the old TTT, a P1 option would be a pretty good idea for a frame like this, eh? Exactly how the frame-only option will be dealt with I don't know, but it'll exist. Sorry I'm not of much more help than that right now.

general geometry/measurements: not until I know it has been published. from memory on MY frame, though, Y=105mm and T=either 520 or 525mm. will get the others for you tonight.

haven't forgotten about the seatpost clamp pic request...will try to get that posted tonight.

Re: Trek Equinox TTX 9.5 pics [Tillquist] [In reply to] Can't Post

righty-o...first, the seatpost clamp pic:

then the other dimensions you asked for:

G = 965mm

S = 606.5mm

S1 = 717.5mm as pictured, about 766mm at max extension for this size frame (I didn't loosen and pull the post to verify...I'm not adjusting anything with a few days to go before my first HIM of the season)

Hope this helps you-

Carl

This is a bike I could like...but the graphics are really pedestrian...QR and Litespeed hit a home run this year. Cervelo's are eyecatching, even if they are love 'em/hate 'em around here. These bikes deserve a better effort.

Anybody knows if the disco color will be available this year (preferably at the same time as the red and yellow)

Thanks

No blue this year. Right now the 9.5 (ultegra) will be either red or "flying ace". The 9.9 (dura-ace) will be yellow. The blue might be a project one option, but that probably won't be released until late October.

Re: Trek Equinox TTX 9.5 pics [cbritri] [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm a Trek lover ... I know thats unusual on this site. I have A Trek TTT currently that I like a lot and seems to pass Cervellos with more ease than this site would suggest.

Doesn't Trek want to sell these?? Ugly color combos like you are suggesting will certainly accomplish poor sales. I'd really like to consider replacing my project 1 version (nice colors) but I sure wouldn't for these ugly options. I guess I'll just see what comes along ... maybe some new TTT or TTX versions of non-Equinox type.

Looked like Cam Widoff was riding one of those at Boulder last weekend, 4th fastest bike time fwiw.

I like its looks, sexy red bike..

Popo's bike was a very early prototype. Production versions will not have the cut-out...

Re: Trek Equinox TTX 9.5 pics [Tillquist] [In reply to] Can't Post

Popovych and Hincapie (check the TdF Tech pics at cyclingnews.com) both had "special" ETTX's in the semi-nude paint scheme. My understanding of events: they began as the same 120gsm frame that I'm riding and are of the same vintage. The cutout on the seat tube (and some other mods elsewhere) was an early lightweighting attempt. Decision was later made for production to just keep everything the way it originally was but swap in the 110gsm material to get nearly the same weight savings without the other hassles.
