Thiiiiiiis close to IM Wisconsin, but no dice

Argh! I'm pretty much crushed at the moment.
Just found out I have to be in Milwaukee, WI for work on Mon, 9/8. I'm thinking - Incredible! I'll fly in early and volunteer at IM Wisconsin and try to get in for 2009.
However, I just found out that my company is flying the whole department out via charter flight Monday
evening
. It's part of a team-building event, so I can't just book my own flight, etc.
Plus I've been out for 12 weeks now on maternity leave and this will only be my 2nd week back at work, so I can't pull any favors.
I'm so upset :(

Suggest to your boss that staffing a feed station during IM Moo would be a great team building exercise for the whole gang that is traveling there and that also gives the company nice exposure.

Given I work for a certain type of beverage company (betcha can't guess who, given it's Milwaukee, huh?) That would be an exciting aid station. Better make it the last one on the run.

Well you can pass out those to the spectators nearby and have the official Ironman drinks for the racers.
