I thought you only had to draw an infinitesimally small straight line up the seat tube, and that at any one point it had to be 80mm? Making something like the Ridley Dean and Giant proto really pushing it, but just okay as the "straight line" touches both the front and back edges of the seat tube as it goes up? I expect you'd know more than me though :D

I'll find the rule's actual verbage...I'm working on a new interpretation now actually...

As the UCI let those forks go at the world track champs I doubt even they know how to interpret the rules, let alone enforce them.
I am dead lucky to be in the UK where we don't have to worry about such trivial things in TTs ;)

So while it is not safe to assume anything, do you think that the next P4C will have the same cable run like the new S3?

What is that on the bottommost hole of the IAA on the seatpost? It looks like an SRM mount... but the bike has regular (well, not regular, but non SRM) cranks.
Yes that's an SRM mount. Notice the SRM headunit mounted at the seatpost of one the old regular painted red and white P3C Track bikes of the Danish Team Pursuit riders. They probably only use the FSA Neopro Track cranksets for important races and then SRM cranksets for training.

What is Bigfoot doing a triathlon? I don't think the Loch Ness Monster can keep it together on the bike but Bigfoot can outrun Santa Claus.

Where are our Photoshop experts? Perhaps they can help crack the code.
Manufacturers Be Warned: Cervelo P4C
Posted Mar. 11, 2008
Improving on the P3C isn’t an easy thing to do. But for its new P4C, Cervelo borrows a strategy from motorsports in order to outdo its TT rig. The company uses a steel skeleton and bolt-on modular pieces to try different shapes for any part of the frame and measure the effect of just one change. This powerful tool allows them to use academic precision when designing the next superbike.
Cervelo wouldn’t let us take any pictures when we previewed the model at Brainbike a few weeks ago - and the frame they showed us surely didn’t reveal all of Cervelo's secrets. Nevertheless, the bike they gave us a glimpse of had a few interesting changes from the P3C. For instance, the seatstays mimic the tubes from the Felt DA/B2. They don’t smoothly flow out of the seat tube; instead they remain as narrow as possible until the chainstays abruptly jump out of the frame.
The bottom bracket area of the P4C extends toward the front of the bike. This allows the down tube to connect to the head tube at a lower point and draft behind the front wheel. However, there was no front wheel cutout. The coolest part of the new down tube position is that it completely eliminated the empty space behind the crown of the fork.
Cervelo doesn’t want to release too much information about their new designs, but they slipped up. They handed out a booklet containing a picture of their engineers posing with a model bike. Most of the bike was cut out of the pic, but the steer tube was exposed. I couldn’t make out details, but there was a piece of the model plastic surrounding the steer tube and reaching out to the stem. I don’t know any more specifics, but anticipate something special.

Honestly, this is the closest we've been able to get to the real thing. The circles and arrows indicate the possible location. We are reasonably certain there
actually is
a P4 in this photo, but inside one of these buildings.
Don't bother to ask how we got these, but you can figure it yourself pretty easy- it's not that big of a deal. If you do a little research you'll end up at the same place.

Thats the rumor, but supposedly more Felt DA like. I heard about the lower downtube but still straight, more aero headtube with some sort of fairing, and also some sort of water bottle gimmick that sticks into the bottom bracket shell. it stays on the bike even if you don't want a drink. Supposedly it closes down the front triangle so there is less air.

With the official start of Interbike tomorrow, will be finally see the P4. This was from another thread but I thought that it should be in the official thread.
Incase it goes to the red box of death.

This was posted by Roadbiker on another thread.
I am sure it is the new P4. It's C. Soeder from Team cervelo-lifeforce, picture taken yesterday in Varese (ITA).
