Stockholm Triathlon. Where do I rent a bike? Can't Post

Swedes! I need your help. I am doing the Stockholm triathlon next year and prefer not to fly my bike over as I will be doing some traveling before and after the race. Where can I rent a decent tri bike?

IMG cancel Stockholm Mazds Triathlon, so.. no race next year.

Really sad.

Hi,

I am a member of the Stockholm City triathlon club, one of the two clubs, which organizes the race. Our Club President told us that the IMG decided to close the contest because of the economic situation in the world. The payback period was apparently too long.

Unfortunately, the Stockholm Tri is cancelled for next year... read it in some Swedish magazine (could be Outdoors, but not sure...). Swedish Tri was at that time looking for some kind of alternative race, but it didn't look like that would happen either... and I've heard nothing since.

Regarding the bike... you can't rent decent bikes in Sweden, no road bike and much less a tri bike... City/comfort bikes, yes, but nothing you can race or ride afterwards. With the cost of everything in Sweden, even if you could rent, it wouldn't be worth it... just much cheaper to pay the airline to bring the bike with you back and forth.
