Slow twitch? Fast twitch? Can't Post

Slow twitch myth.

There is no such anatomical difference in muscle. No slow and fast twitch muscle that is. A friend of mine directed me to this site. I had no knoweldge of the "slowtwitch" forum or site untill recently and I find it a surprise that so many by into this theory.

The only twitching that goes on with regard to slow and fast is found in ones head.

This is one of the first sites that I was able to follow and make sense of the threads and sign up etc. When it comes to computers and my brain sometimes there is no twitch.

You're right, let's change the name of the site to www.TypeI.com... Dan, are you listening?

Amazingly insightful. Anaylzed all one million posts and summarized on the nose in your first post.

Either that, or your sense of humour is a lot harder to pick up in print.

True I did not read anything here. Arthur Jones did it for me in his book entitled "The Lumbar spine, the Cervicle spine and the knee testing and rehabilitation" Copywrite 1993

His words are "we really do not know how muscles work"

Considering you have your occupation down as marketing / fitness information you really are full of crap...

It would be more refreshing if you could intellectually debate. How do you define "full of crap"

Ok, I'll debate. Because you raised the issue, please provide your empirical evidence to support your assertion that muscle fiber is muscle fiber with no difference. I believe bikesportgirl provided contradictory information. Please respond.

I did just that by giving reference to Arthur Jones. Do you know who Arthur jones is? do you know what the following terms mean and please define:
F=MA
d=1/2 A T squared
g=9.8 M sec squared

I'll give you some time to look these up if you do not know, I'll see you when I get back from Starbucks.

Which should be an easy task for him/her, given that the website listed by fitnessclinic shows:

"We use the proven fitness research data and information to help you with your customized fitness program. We can answer any and all questions for fitness and nutrition."

But also notes that they won't work with anyone who is at "Ideal Body Weight."

Well, I assume you mean Arthur Jones, inventor of the Nautilus exercise machine and "creator" of High Intensity Training - a method that has been discredited by many, many "fitness experts."

An additional fun fact is that Arthur Jones has a total of fourteen relatives who are medical doctors.

However, that does not respond to the question. Identify where Jones established that there is no distinction between fast and slow twitch muscles.

Hope you used the drive thru at Starbucks...

If I am not mistaken, Arthur Jones is the one that popularized slow twitch vs. fast twitch. Are you saying that he has reversed his position? If so, he may be need to refund quite a bit of Nautilus equipment purchases!

You haven't responded to any of mine. You are new to this "debating" thing, aren't you?

So, do I have to pay $129 for Initial Counseling and Setup and $79 per month to get you to respond to the rest?

You set forth the premise. The burden of going forward rests with you...
