I'll be there. Actually, your reading your RR last year is what inspired me to register. I run ultras and don't like the big crowds at mainstream events so this is the perfect fit for my 140.6 debut. Been hitting the hills like crazy to prepare. Taking Monday off too to make it a 4-day Veteran's Day Weekend and stopping through Joshua Tree for a night on the way back to SD

I'll be there trying to finish the half. Your RR with all the incredible pictures is what inspired me to do this race. I figure as long as I'm suffering out there, I might as well be doing so with a beautiful view.

I have been signed up to do the full for what seems like FOREVER! Can't wait for it to get here already. Heard and read some many positives about the race and of course it doesn't hurt that they play Black Jack out there in Las Vegas!

I have been doing rides up Cypress Mountain for Silverman prep. UBC area is good for some hills and some nice scenery and close by too.
Stanley Park is the first obvious choice for runs, and there are group runs out of the running room's at 6ish on Wednesday night. Broadway Running room has a good group of guys who are a lot faster than me and are great to run with.
Be prepared for some chillier weather than you are used to. It has gotten colder over the last couple of week and there might be rain next week....
