Setback or stright seatpost?
Can't Post
how would I know if I needed a seatpost with setback or with no setback?
If using a Thompson seatpoast on a Yaqui frame . Is it my choice depending on how steep I want to ride, torso size , voodoo, math? Won't this have an effect on stem length?
Thanks Thom

Sorry Tom but you have not provided nearly enough information. The Thomson's are great and help out with fitting but you most likely need a good fit session to get an answer to your question.

It just depends on what your preferred seat angle is compared to the actual seat angle of the frame.
If you are getting a new Yacqui, just tell the builder if you would prefer the straight or setback version, and he'll make the frame to suit your preference.
Whether you use a straight or setback post does not affect stem length, since you'll still slide the saddle fore/aft to the same position relative to the bottom bracket & stem.
