How much bike stuff could you have gotten instead of putting money in the market in the last year? Sub 9 Disc, SRM...wireless... x 2..., Back-up P3C for trainer only, Second Road bike, set of trainer 404s. All those crazy ideas we have bounced around in our heads but never pulled the trigger, are you kicking yourself too? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just bought an '08 P2C with $ I made selling stuff in the classifieds. The shop ordered it once I paid, so I'm hoping it comes with the 3T fork...
Either way, I'm $ ahead baby!

Or you could have followed the wallstreetfighter's advice:
401-Keg plan.
The GuestOfAGuest blog just came across some of the best investment advice I've heard in a while. It's called the 401-Keg Plan and it really puts a lot of things in perspective:
If you had purchased $1,000.00 of AIG stock one year ago you would have $44.34 left.
With Wachovia, you would have had $54.74 left of the original $1,000.00.
With Lehman, you would have had $0.00 left.
But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago…
drank all of the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have $214.00 cash.

Even if you lived in one of those weird states where the can deposit is $.10, a refund of $214 would mean that your $1000 would have bought 2,140 cans of beer. That is some cheap beer!

That works out to about $.45/can or about $12 for a case. Back in college days that was considered good stuff.

That sounds like bulk PBR pricing, and remember, it won that Blue Ribbon so it has to be good.

My freshman and sophmore years, it was Old Milwaukee or Old Milwaukee light for $4.50 case plus $1.50 deposit.
16 Gallon Kegs of same for $23.50
Upon reflection I think we were ripped off.
