Post your BEFORE and AFTER Triathlon PICS Can't Post

I came across this picture from middle of last year while going through pictures on our computer with my 4 year old daughter. I almost died. I never realized how bad and unhealthy I looked until I saw this.

After one year of training, I can't believe the difference in how I feel. It was so bad last year, I couldn't even comfortably walk 18 holes of golf without severe pain in my feet. Triathlon, while also an outlet for our competitive sides, is really about a healthy lifestyle and staying active. Here is a pic of me (43 pounds lighter) and the spousal unit from a couple of weeks ago while we were in Monterey, CA for a wedding

Deecent...good for you. I agree 100% with the ability triathlon has to change lives and lifestyles. My before and after shots are below...before is from xmas 2004...after is from IMLP 2006. Lost 50 lbs in the process. Still need to lose more but I'm pretty happy with the change.

Wow, great for you. I bet you didn't have that really cool tan line on your arm before either.

Nice work.

First pic is me two years ago, in shape. Second pic is five years ago when I started this crazy tri trip.

Pic1-165 lbs, pic 2-190.

No. And have never lived that down. At least it went away and I finally blended it in...

OK - so I started out last year as a slowtwitch nightmare - a clydesdale TNTer (216 lb). The second shot is about a year later at one of our local sprints - 178 lbs.

Getting into this has been the best thing I have done for myself in a long time.

There was a girl who lost 180 pounds while training for IM CDA - they recognized her at the Friday dinner. I thought that was pretty impressive!

Switch,

The Chronological delta is 5 years. The weight difference between the before and after Triathlon pictures is 104 pounds. Fair to say, Triathlon has positively impacted the terrestrial existence of yours Truly....

At first, I thought the guy in the photo in the sweatshirt was Preston.

BigBloke- brilliant!

As far as I'm concerned, my "after" is irrelevant. A few months before the thought of a triathlon ever entered my nugget:

Little snowboarding accident. Bilateral tib-fib, early 2002. In hindsight, one of the better things that's ever happened to me.

Why is a lineman about to throw the football?

Can you still play nose tackle?

Hell of a change!
