Pontiac Solstice GXP bike rack Can't Post

Does anybody have a Pontiact Solstice GXP with a trailer hitch bike rack?

I am thinking about buying a Solstice, but it sounds like the GXP model has a problem mounting a trailer hitch.

I've had a Saturn Sky, which is pretty much the same car with a different skin.. I am sure you will enjoy it, it is an awesome car, especially in the GXP version.

Regarding carrying a bike, you can install an aftermarket trailer hitch and then attach any hitch-mounted bike rack. Here are some pictures that show what you are looking for (that's a GXP):

Pretty.

Do you know who made the hitch? Was it dealer installed?

I googled "solstice hitch" and all of the hitches talked about "except gxp", because of the exhaust configuration.

Do you garage it all winter or do you drive it with winter tires? For me this car will be my daily commuter and I live in Chicago.

I don't know who makes the hitch - there is a forum for GXP owners and you should be able to get the answer there:

I live in Florida, so I have no problems with the winter :-) Keep in mind that this is a RWD car, so even with traction control it won't be easy to handle on the snow.

I can't find the exact company I was thinking of, but this is similar - http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/reartruncarb.html

Essentially, it's a luggage rack fitted to the rear decklid, then the bike rack fits onto that.

Another search turns up these guys, which may be the company I was thinking of - http://www.classiccarrier.com/
